      L'objet de ce mémoire est d'examiner comment les animaux dans The Ministry of Utmost Happiness sont représentés, et de quelle façon l'inclusion des expériences animales dans le roman impacte la représentation de l'Inde contemporaine.
    • Throughout the novel, Arundhati Roys represents nonhuman animals, independently or in relation with other human or nonhuman characters, and their experiences in human society participates in a broader reflection on modern India.
      The aim of this dissertation is to examine the way animals are represented in The Ministry of Utmost Happiness, and in what ways the inclusion of animal experiences in the novel impacts the depiction of contemporary India.
