    • Notre travail de recherche intitulé Regards croisés sur la Guerre civile libanaise (1975-1990) dans le roman français et libanais d'expression française s’inscrit dans la lignée analytique de l’écriture mémorielle des catastrophes. Il s’agit précisément de la littérature de guerre avec comme contexte particulier la guerre civile libanaise de 1975-1990.
      Notre thèse se donne en effet comme objectif d’étudier la manière dont six écrivains (français et libanais) ont rapporté la guerre civile libanaise en l'absence de documentation officielle concernant cette page noire de l'Histoire du Liban et à la lumière d’un négationnisme étatique. Ces écrivains sont Alexandre Najjar, Dominique Eddé, Jacqueline Massabki, François Porel, Mathias Énard et Sorj Chalandon.
      Nous avons tenté d’analyser comment l’objet guerre est saisi par la fiction aussi bien que l’impact de l’écriture de guerre sur la mémoire collective des Libanais, notamment ceux nés dans l’après-guerre. Notre approche comparative émane ainsi d’un questionnement sur le rôle et la légitimité de la littérature dans un contexte pareil et implique par conséquent une réflexion sur l’articulation tripartite Histoire-mémoire-fiction. Elle constitue également l’occasion de souligner l’importance du « témoignage » à travers le croisement de différentes mémoires individuelles et sociétales qui, réunies, devraient contribuer à rendre possible la compréhension globale du phénomène en question.
      Sur le plan méthodologique, nous nous sommes appuyée sur des approches critiques diverses mêlant l’analyse narrative, les recherches sur la mémoire des conflits et l’étude spatiale et temporelle afin de dégager, en plus des thématiques communes aux œuvres du corpus, une poétique propre à l’écriture de la guerre intestine du Liban.
    • Our research work entitled Perspectives on the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990) in the French and Lebanese Novel of French Expression is part of the analytical line of the memorial writing of disasters. It is precisely war literature with the particular context of the Lebanese civil war of 1975-1990.
      Our thesis aims to study the way in which six writers (French and Lebanese) reported the Lebanese civil war in the absence of official documentation concerning this black page of the History of Lebanon and in the light of state negationism. These writers are Alexandre Najjar, Dominique Eddé, Jacqueline Massabki, François Porel, Mathias Énard and Sorj Chalandon.
      We tried to analyze how the object of war is captured by fiction as well as the impact of war writing on the collective memory of the Lebanese, especially those born in the post-war period. Our comparative approach thus emanates from a questioning of the role and legitimacy of literature in such a context and therefore implies a reflection on the tripartite articulation History-memory-fiction. It is also an opportunity to emphasize the importance of “testimony” through the crossing of different individual and societal memories which, together, should contribute to making possible the global understanding of the phenomenon in question.
      On the methodological level, we relied on various critical approaches combining narrative analysis, reasearch on the memory of conflicts and spatial and temporal study in order to identify, in addition to the themes common to the novels of the corpus, a poetics specific to the writing of the intestine war of Lebanon.
