Cette étude a pour objectif de montrer ce qui fait l’originalité du cinéma de Na Hong-jin. En explorant la construction de ses paysages, et l’évolution des corps dans ces espaces, nous mettrons en lumière une esthétique propre au réalisateur, tout en soulignant les points communs qu’elle partage avec d’autres cinéastes coréens de son époque (notamment Bong Joon-ho, ou encore Park Chan-wook). De ses traditions paysagères à son histoire, en passant par les croyances propres aux Coréens, c’est un véritable panorama de la culture coréenne qui sera exploré à travers la mise en scène de Na Hong-jin.

This study aims to highlight what makes Na Hong-jin’s cinema unique. By exploring the construction of his landscapes and the evolution of bodies within these spaces, we will highlight the director’s own aesthetic, while underlining the similarities it shares with other Korean filmmakers of his era (including Bong Joon-ho, or Park Chan-wook). From landscape tradition to history, through the beliefs of Korean people, this study will provide a comprehensive overview of Korean culture through Na Hong-jin’s direction.
