    • Ce travail de recherche consiste à réfléchir sur le style d'écriture de Theordore Dreiser, auteur américain souvent oublié et peu étudié. Son écriture de la ville, réaliste et naturaliste, est innovante et permet de faire sentir aux lecteurs les contrastes qui habitent la ville de Chicago (ville également peu étudiée en littérature américaine).
    • Theodore Dreiser's writing has not been studied a lot in American literature. This work consists in defining Dreiser's style and the way in which the city of Chicago has influenced it. Dreiser's use of Realism and Naturalism enables him to depict the city in a new way, making readers aware of the intricacies of Chicago (and also New York) at the turn of the century.
