    • Ce mémoire traite de la représentation du rôle économique des femmes dans les romans étudiés. Qu'elles soient ouvrières, locataires ou consommatrices le role économique des femmes n'est jamais simple, il est, au contraire, profondément lié à des questions de genre et de pouvoir. Dans ce mémoire j'ai essayé tant bien que mal de défaire cette toile et d'explorer les options qui s'offrent aux femmes dans un contexte social, historique et économique où le marché est intrinsèquement contrôlé par le patriarcat.
    • This Master thesis deals with the representation of women as economic agents in the works of fiction under study. Be it as workers, renters or consumers women's economic roles are never simple but are deeply entangled in questions of gender and power, this master thesis endeavored to untangle this web and to explore the options offered to women in a social, historic and economic context when the market is unequivocally predominated by men.
